# More privileges for new users (e.g. # of URLs per post)

Hi! I was writing a new reply to a thread, but I was blocked from doing so because I am a new user and new users are limited to two URLs per post. Could this limit be lifted to something more moderate, perhaps 5-10?

It’s the `newuser max links` setting. I set it to 10.

Could we allow users to edit their own posts and comments? By default, you need to be a “Trust Level 3 — Regular” [Understanding Discourse Trust Levels](https://blog.discourse.org/2018/06/understanding-discourse-trust-levels/)
