If you are a Sustainer looking for employment, consider watching new topic threads only in this category via email!
If you have been to a large professional conference, maybe you have seen a large bulletin board titled “Job Board” or “Opportunity Board”. It is a public space, contributed by the community and curated by conference organizers with a basic set of principles. So, if you had to take that physical space and convert it into bits and bytes, this is our take on what that looks like!
Sharing guidelines
- Opportunities shared are highly encouraged, but not required, to have an Open Source component. Opportunities with an Open Source component may be boosted in visibility in the future.
- Avoid leaving contact emails: Prefer ONE outbound URL for a place to learn more or apply for the position. Remember this is a forum that gets scraped by search engines and email data does not age well on forums! URLs might not age well either, but it is better than leaving out an email address.
- Sustain OSS Discourse Admins or Moderators reserve the right to remove any content. Admins and Moderators are committed to a best-attempt of privately notifying the posting user why their content was removed, but this information will not be shared publicly by default.
How exactly is this different than the other categories we already have?
This category is strictly commercial. Just like a job or opportunity board at a conference, you will likely walk by it or see it once. Whether you choose to look at it is entirely up to you.
