I just stumbled on this and thought to share.
In the apply section it reads that they support Free Software by providing free services, which are themselves based on proprietary software. A proposition that resembles what GitHub, Drone and many others do.
The Free Software project that applies and gets selected trades a dependency to proprietary services that are designed to be a walled garden in exchange for an immediate benefit that saves money. In terms of sustainability it may not always be the wisest choice.

P.S. Fastly stance on Free Software and Open Standards does not apply to any of the services they provide.

I don’t know enough about Fastly to speak to this, I just thought it was a cool initiative from them. Noted though.
