Job Opportunity: Community Strategist for GovStack initiative

Hi folks, Michael Downey with the Digital Impact Alliance at the United Nations Foundation. We recently kicked off the GovStack initiative, a project launched and funded by the International Telecommunications Union, the Republic of Estonia, and the German government’s development agency GIZ with its Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

GovStack is designed to enable governments to take ownership of digital-focused services through the deployment and support of open source digital pubilc goods that serve as “building blocks” for key platforms and services that best meet the needs of people in those countries. We are hiring a Community Strategist that will not only handle day-to-day community management work to support our experts and technologists, but also will take an active role in building the community strategy for GovStack to maximize contributions and participation as the community builds requirements and demonstration implementations to help support governments who adopt the approach.

The role is full time and fully remote, but we are looking for someone who can work and support people located near the CEST (Europe/Africa) time zone, with future travel eventually expected to work closely with program leaders throughout Europe. If you have questions, feel free to send me a private message here on the forum, or contact us through the general inbox listed in the full job description which is available in PDF format via DIAL’s web site:
