UNICEF has a 75-year history of innovating for children. We believe that new approaches, partnerships and technologies that support realizing children’s rights are critical to improving their lives.

The overarching strategic goal of UNICEF’s Information and Communication Technology Division (ICTD) is to transform and build partnerships with our stakeholders to successfully implement UNICEF programmes globally through innovative technology-enabled solutions.

UNICEF’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems and its integration with other internal systems and external business partners are the backbone without which the organization will be severely diminished in its ability to execute its day to day operations, and ultimately its mandate.

The Solution Center is the primary stakeholder to analyze, design, develop, deploy and provide ongoing maintenance support for this application portfolio.

This doesn’t look like an Open Source opportunity to me. What did I miss here?

This is with the office at UNICEF that manages services, infrastructure, and IT policy across the organization, represented in over 190 offices. A knowledge and understanding of open source is an asset in this role for working with and contributing to a variety of open source projects in and outside UNICEF, and builds the open source acumen of an organization that is already committed to open source in other ways.
