Inspired by the Sustain summit, I wrote a short history of CiviCRM sustainability, along with some thoughts on what self sustainability means in our context, and some ideas on how we can move along the sustainability path.
Some of the ideas are a bit raw and could be better thought through, but hopefully it is of interest to people as another data point in the bigger picture of open source sustainability.
