I know there have been a few conversations between orgs about fundraising during COVID. Without the coffee table or hallway track at conferences, it’s really hard to get the same connections and leads that we’re used to for sustaining open source projects. Some funders have stepped up and are aggressively giving out funds or providing ways for others to do so - FOSS Responders, OpenCollective and OpenSourceCollective, Sloan looking at you here - but I’m curious about projects, and not funders, that have needed help here.
I’d like to hold a single meeting about this topic, and how to work around it, if others are interested in joining me. I don’t want to sign-up for an extended working group right now, but I think just a an hour long meeting would be ideal for sharing tips and tricks and comments.
What do you think?
